Restart Tuition Mission
I give young people who are currently struggling in secondary education the confidence and belief that they can achieve again. I aim to help young people build academic skills as well as the mindset and resilience that will help young people get ahead.

I built the service I wish I’d had when I was in education, focusing on developing confidence and positive self belief alongside academic study. my purpose is to help young people navigating school to find their voice and enter the working world with the skills and qualifications needed to achieve their true potential
INTRODUCING MATT, FOUNDER OF RESTART TUITION
I was once a C/D borderline student preparing for my GCSEs — told my grades would limit my future.
Being labelled “average” or “underachieving” followed me through school. I was quiet, overlooked, and never really felt supported to develop my potential. Deep down, I always believed I could achieve more.
That belief proved right. After school, I went on to travel the world, run with the Olympic Torch, gain a Psychology degree and a teaching qualification, and build a career as a respected teacher in my community. People often ask what made the difference. The truth is I never let go of the self-belief that I was capable of more.
That belief is the foundation of Restart Tuition. I started this business not just to help students succeed in English and Maths, but to give them the same confidence and self-belief that transformed my own life. Through our Confidence-First tuition service, we combine high-quality subject support with strategies drawn from psychology and lived experience, helping learners grow far beyond the classroom.
